Vice President, Operations and Accounting

Susan brings many years of real estate development accounting experience.  Prior to joining Shelton McNally, she worked for Chance Partners, a fully integrated real estate firm specializing in the development and management of high-quality residential and mixed-use communities.  After the company was established in 2009, she was their first accounting hire and was responsible for accounting implementation and process development.  In the more recent years, she served them on a part-time basis providing accounting oversight.  Prior to Chance Partners, she was a Fund Controller at Jamestown Properties, a design-focused real estate investment and management company.  Prior to Jamestown, she was an Assistant Development Controller at Novare Group, a development company focused on high-density mixed-use opportunities around the Southeast.  Susan began her accounting career in public accounting, working at Deloitte in their Audit & Enterprise Risk Services group.  At Deloitte she specialized in the Utilities industry working extensively for Southern Company.

Susan is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and a graduate of the University of Florida’s Fisher School of Accounting with a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She currently resides in Morningside with her husband and two sons.  She enjoys being involved in her kid’s schools and is currently serving her second year as the Morningside Elementary PTA Co-President.
