Vice President, Design and Construction
Charles has over 27 years of commercial real estate and construction experience in a breadth of development, construction management, and consulting roles.
During the 5 years prior to joining Shelton McNally, Charles owned and operated a commercial millwork company, CX Fabrications, in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. He developed a kit home concept for the single family Build-to-Rent market in addition to providing 40 custom projects a year across the southeast.
Prior to starting his company, Charles served as Vice President for Carter & Associates and Developer for Novare Group, both of Atlanta. In those roles, Charles managed predevelopment, design and construction activities with 2,800 multifamily residential units completed in that time. Charles also served for 4 years as a project manager for the joint venture construction management firm, HMMH, during the construction of the $1.4B Terminal F project at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Charles spent the first 7 years of his career at the program management consulting firm, The Normandie Company, delivering more than 6M square feet of office, retail, data center, hotel, and public safety projects nationwide, followed by 3 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers stationed in Atlanta consulting on the treatment of fixed assets for Federal and property tax purposes.
Charles holds a BSBC degree in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology and an MSRE degree from Georgia State University. Charles resides in Marietta with his wife, Shanon, and two teenage children.
